GEM is a private consulting company created in 1975. Our  team is composed of Agrofood engineers, with complementary training in economics, management and psychology.

Gem is involved in several types of missions, in agricultural sector and agro food industry. The aim of our studies is that they lead to concrete action, from the choice of diversification to the launching of new products or the defining of marketing strategies :

- Marketing of agricultural and food products for consumers

- Company strategy and strategy for regions

- Marketing to industry: equipment, food ingredients

GEM has a large experience in agro food development : markets studies, supply chain studies, qualitative and quantitative studies.


Gem has a steady clientele for 30 years: companies in the agro food industry, manufacturers of equipment as well as regional, national and international public organisations.

Martine has joined GEM in 1980. She is in charge of market studies,

supply chain analysis : for example fruit supply chain in European

countries (processed apple, strawberry and others red fruit).

Alain Larreture


Graduate Agro-food engineer (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Alimentaires), Associate director of GEM.
Diploma of the Centre of Expert Training in International. Technical Co-operation. Alain specializes in the technical and feasibility studies, as well as general studies : market studies, identification of partners, long term prospective studies of agro-food and agricultural sectors.

Michel Timsit


Graduate Agro-food engineer (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Alimentaires), Master sciences économiques (Université Paris 1 Sorbonne), MBA (Institut supérieur des Affaires). Michel specialises in the development of

agro-food industry (Support of local initiatives for restructuring agricultural and agro-food activities, agro-food and food processing sector analysis) and in SME development.
